There’s a call to go back and reconsider how to fulfill evangelism today. With numbers of professed Christians declining in the U.S. over the last decade and especially post COVID-19 pandemic challenging the stability of churches, it’s important that we address the need for effective evangelism head on.
Its starts with us, the church.
The struggle is real - the laborers are few
The struggle faced by churches today can be linked to changes in culture and societal norms, which impact the expectations of believers and potential converts considering joining the faith. In some areas, we’ve drifted from the core message of salvation and eternal life to addressing immediate needs like financial prosperity, social reform, and others. We can’t relegate earthly needs of life as unimportant, but the focus on the Great Commission experienced a shift.
We must refocus on our call.
